Yet this isn't the way it's thought of by most people. Typically they imagine dead-end jobs, with days spent slaving away on a production line. In fact aerospace offers some of the most lucrative career prospects for young people, with companies that provide top notch training from day one. Northwest Aerospace Alliance launched the Take Off In Aerospace campaign in 2010 to show young people the exciting possibilities of a career in aerospace, and attract the brightest talent to the sector. The campaign also aims to show that it's not just about engineering- aerospace offers fantastic prospects regardless of your ideal job role.
Take Off In Aerospace provides opportunities for young people to experience the industry in a fun, exciting way- from designing and building UAVS at events like the Big Bang and Skills Northwest, to becoming an entrepreneur for the day at one of Take Off In Aerospace's Enterprising Challenge Days. These activities offer young people an insight into the rewards and challenges that are a regular feature of a career in aerospace.
